Tornare: A Connect U Journey is an interactive and entertaining serious game, developed on behalf of Xior Housing NV, to inform potential students and new residents of Connect-U about the facilities and businesses it offers. Through mini-games, Tornare provides a proof of concept in the form of a mobile application.
In addition to promotional purposes, the app helps residents and users of the Connect-U building get to know each other better.
Tornare has the potential to be further developed to offer even more value to users and clients.
Cosmos Observatory in Lattrop-Breklenkamp is expanding with a solar observatory and Mars exhibition, including a weather station, to increase its educational appeal and attractiveness to tourists and young people.
The solar observatory comprises a solar telescope and an exhibition space. The GameLab Oost Foundation has been asked to use serious gaming to make the space more appealing. The result should be an engaging educational programme that attracts more visitors, particularly younger ones.
A temporary team ‘Starter Deck’ worked for one semester on transforming a complicated Excel file into an educational game experience for the University of Twente.
The project focuses on the gamification of the Bachelor's programme in Industrial Design, with the aim of increasing student engagement and making learning more interactive.
This overview video provides an insight into our projects, in which we bring together various parties to develop serious games. We combine knowledge and expertise from education and other sectors to create concrete solutions that make a difference.
At Gamelab Oost, we believe in connecting expertise and guiding the process from idea to implementation.
